Job Title: Special Officer(HHC)
Agency: The New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation.
Duties: Special Officers for the City of New York are responsible for patrolling designated areas of public buildings, other facilities, and surrounding areas to maintain order, preserve the peace, and safeguard life and property against fire, vandalism, theft an other incidents. As Peace Officers, you would be responsible for enforcing state and local laws and regulations.
Starting Salary: The current minimum salary is $30,714 per year.

(2)High school diploma or GED OR An Individualized Educational Program (IEP) diploma and six months of full time work experience.
(3)Pass open competitive exam.

(5)Minimum age for appointment is 20 yrs old.
(6) City of New York at the time of appointment. However, if you have two years of employment with the City of New York, you may be a resident of Nassau, Westchester, Suffolk, Orange, Rockland or Putnam counties.
