Taxi and Limousine Inspectors perform regulatory, enforcement, investigatory and inspectional duties required in the regulation of the taxi and limousine industry. Taxi and Limousine Inspectors are appointed Special Patrolman by the NYPD. This gives them arrest authority.

Salary: $34,695 per year.

Qualifications:
Pass written test.
High school Diploma or equivalent.
Be twenty-one years of age or older.
Be a citizen of the United States.
Be a resident of New York City.
Have no record of convictions for any felony or serious offense,
as enumerated in §265.00 (17) of the New York State Penal Law.
