Duties: Police Officers with the City of Rochester, are responsible for enforcing  state and local laws in that city.

Salary: $41,985 per year
Top pay: $73,315

Requirements:

  • United States citizenship
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least nineteen (19) years of age and not have reached thirty-fifth (35th) birthday on or before date of written test, except as defined on Section 243 (10-a) of the Military Law. Must be at least twenty (20) years old at the time of appointment.
  • Valid Drivers License
  • No felony convictions
  • Good physical condition
  • Good moral character
  • Residency is not a requirement at the time you apply, but you must live in Monroe County or one of its surrounding counties if you are hired.
  • Tattoo and body art restrictions
